PEARL CITY—APRIL 23, 2024—Lōkahi Federal Credit Union has awarded five $2,000 scholarships for the 2024 College Scholarship Program. The Scholarship Program Committee selected these deserving students after a thorough review of their applications, transcripts, recommendations, and other materials.
Families of all awardees were invited to be recognized at the Lōkahi FCU main office in Pearl City. Two students were present in person, while three students joined virtually. They shared their college aspirations with Lōkahi FCU Board of Directors Chair Carol Ebia, Vice Chair Abigail Nishida, Secretary and Treasurer Francis Miyazawa, Director Cheryl Suzuki, and the Lōkahi FCU staff.
The 2024 College Scholarship Program awardees were:
- Cody C., Computer Engineering at University of Notre Dame
- Siena E., Natural Resources & Environmental Management at University of Hawai‘i, West O‘ahu
- Patricia F., Biology & Communications at University of Portland
- Kanoelani Q., Graphic Design & Communications at University of Mesa
- Sean M., Global Environmental Science at University of Hawai‘i, Mānoa
