HONOLULU – JANUARY 4, 2022 – Per tradition, Lōkahi Federal Credit Union (Lōkahi FCU) teamed up with the Lōkahi First Sergeants Council Angel Tree program to bring joy and toys to children during the holiday season. A total of 114 angels, children in need of toys or items, were adopted by Lōkahi FCU staff, members, and the community.
Angels were adopted from the Pearl City, Pearlridge and Lōkahi branch locations. Ornaments detailing the angel’s age, gender, and desired gifts were hung on Christmas trees. Donors “adopted” angels by signing out their respective ornaments.
On December 22, 2021, the First Sergeants picked up all the donated items to distribute to the angels. Donations included baby clothing, gift cards, art supplies, toys, and more.
